Rare earth Garnet Based Scintillator (RGBS) has the advantages of high density, high light output, short decay time and low radioactive background, and its chemical properties are stable, non-cleavage and non-hygroscopic. And it is easy to be processed and shaped, which expands its application scope. The main applications are radiation detection, high-energy physics, CT etc.
