Lithium Glass (Ce) Scintillator
Lithium glass (Ce) scintillator is rich in Li6+ nuclide, which has the advantages of short decay time, good temperature performance and high efficiency of slow neutron detection. In addition, the scintillator is easy to prepare and form, non-hygroscopic, acid and alkali resistant, can withstand the high and low temperature rapid change. Therefore, in the harsh situation that contains corrosive liquid and vapor, the lithium glass (Ce) can still work, but other scintillators cannot be suitable.
Lithium glass (Ce) scintillators are widely used in neutron time-of-flight experiments, oil and natural gas exploration, moisture content measurement, nondestructive testing and neutron photography.
