GB/T 13182-2026, Sodium Iodide (Thallium Doped) Scintillators and Sodium Iodide (Thallium Doped) Scintillation Detectors, revised with participation from BHP, was officially approved and issued on September 28, 2026, and shall come into force on April 1, 2027.

Sodium iodide (thallium-doped) scintillators and detectors are widely used in various radiation detection fields. The national standard GB/T 13182 specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and other requirements for sodium iodide (thallium-doped) scintillators and sodium iodide (thallium-doped) scintillation detectors. It provides an essential technical basis for the development, manufacturing, application and trade of such products.
The previous version of this standard was issued in 2007 and has been implemented for more than 15 years. With industrial evolution, technological upgrading and the emergence of new application scenarios, BHP has brought its nearly 40 years of industrial experience in optoelectronic devices, scintillators and radiation detectors into this revision. It helps the standard accommodate newly emerging application requirements, balancing technical advancement and practical feasibility, facilitating industry communication and supporting the sustainable development of the radiation detection sector.
As a professional manufacturer and supplier in the field of photon detection, BHP will continue to advance standardization work. It will carry out technical exchanges and collaborative innovation with upstream and downstream partners and industry peers, jointly promoting technological upgrading and high-quality development of the nuclear instrument and radiation detection industry.
