KRS-5

Thallium bromide iodide (TIBr-TlI) , also known as KRS-5, is a mixed crystal of thallium bromide (TlBr) and thallium iodide (TlI) , and non-hygroscopic. It can transmit a fairly wide infrared band. In the wavelength range of 0.6~40μm, the transmittance can reach more than 70%. It is a kind of infrared material that can be used to make infrared optical parts, such as window sheet, lens, composite mirror and prism.
