PM2.5 air quality detection is a special test method for measuring PM2.5 (inhalable pulmonary particulate matter) value in air. It is applicable to the determination of public place environment, atmospheric environment and indoor air. It can also be used to evaluate and analyze the purification efficiency of air purifier. PM2.5 detector (β-ray method) sucks the ambient air into the sampling tube from the sampling pump and discharges it after passing through the filter membrane. The particulate matter in the air settles on the filter membrane. When the β-ray passes through the filter membrane where the particulate matters are deposited, the intensity of β-ray will be attenuated accordingly, and the concentration of the particles can be calculated by measuring the attenuation amount.
BEIJING HAMAMATSU PHOTON TECHNIQUE INC. can provide PMTs and scintillation detectors for β-ray PM2.5 detection.
